Our testimonies
Each day I would attend the Holy Communion and declare that there would be a glorious restoration in every area of my life.
Since then, John 3:16 was my favorite verse. I also understand that I have always had more than enough favor and blessings on my life.
Because God has not sent his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

The Shrine Welcoming Pilgrimages
Your visit to the Shrine
Every year many visitors come to the Shrine, not only for its history and its art, but above all for the devotion to the Madonna of Perpetual Help. The church is always open for a visit and prayer to the Virgin.
Organization of the pilgrimage
We kindhearted ask to the organizers (whether priests or lay people) to plan the visit to the Shrine as a “destination” of a pilgrimage and not a simple “stop” during an outing, considering all the time necessary so that the faithful can live an authentic experience of faith, keeping in mind that a quick visit or a hasty celebration of Mass does not help in this regard.
We invite you to check the opening hours, remembering that sightseeing is suspended during the celebrations. We also advise you to take a look at the calendar of events scheduled in the Shrine.
Information for pilgrim groups
In order to make the best arrangements for the pilgrimage, groups that intend to visit the Shrine can contact the managers well in advance, who are available to provide all the information to help you plan dates, times and details for the visit and/or celebrations.
Contact us by e-mail: sanpersoc@gmail.com; or by phone number +39.06.49.49.0685. As far as possible in advance, especially when it comes to large groups.
OUR SHRINE
Sant’Alfonso de Liguori was born in Marianella near Naples on September 27, 1696. The eldest son of a rather large family belonging to the Neapolitan nobility. He receives solid instruction, studies classical and modern languages, painting and music. He composed a Duet on the Passion, a Christmas song, still famous in Italy, “You come down from the stars”, and many other hymns. He completes university studies by obtaining the doctorate in civil and canon law and begins to practice in the field of law.

Church Of S. Alfonso De Liguori
The Church of Sant’Alfonso is the home of the original icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It is one of the rare examples of neo-gothic architecture in Rome and was built in 1855 and consecrated in 1859 by Cardinal Costantino Patrizi. It is located on the Esquiline Hill on the Via Merulana between the two basilicas of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran.
